About Us

Until merging with OffBeet in April 2019, Roots Compost was a curbside community composter. We make it easy for you to compost all your organic waste. And, we'll deliver some of the soil back to you when it's done.

We operate in Lawrence, Haverhill, Methuen, North Andover, and Andover. If you are outside our service area, there are options for bucket drop off or a waiting list as we continue to grow. Or, we can refer you to nearby community composters.

Roots Compost is a local, sustainable and people-powered community composter in Greater Lawrence that recycles households’ kitchen scraps into compost. We provide curbside collection and collaborate with local farmers and community gardens that use the compost to improve soil right in our own neighborhoods.
